Bridgeway Strengthens Legal Software Suite With Enhanced Tax Reporting and Stronger Decision Making Capabilities
Latest Versions of eCounsel and Secretariat Optimize Productivity & Enable Better Control
HOUSTON, April 12, 2011 – Bridgeway Software, the leading provider of legal enterprise management solutions, today announced the latest version of its leading legal enterprise management Suite. Available immediately, and comprised of eCounsel™ and Secretariat™, Smart Invoice and CorridorTM, Suite 8.4 now includes significant enhancements to its tax processing capabilities including worldwide tracking, processing and recovery functionality as well as improved work flow to speed and execute tasks. Bridgeway's latest software suite is designed with the user in mind, allowing general counsel and corporate secretaries to quickly and easily manage data assets in order to save both money and time and make better business decisions.

Specific enhancements to Suite 8.4 include:
- Tax tracking, processing, and recovery: eCounsel v8.4 now includes international tax tracking, processing, and recovery. The latest version supports the Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) 1998BI e-billing format. The latest functionality allows firms to provide details associated with the entire range of legal invoice taxes so corporate law departments can more easily track, control, and recover taxes on their legal services worldwide.
- Streamlined work flows: New service of process (SOP) alerts notifies appropriate individuals of the delivery of a writ, summons, or other legal papers to the person whom is required to respond to them. eCounsel v8.4 has streamlined workflow capabilities which automatically sorts SOP alerts according to the types of service and then routes them to the appropriate department. Further, the new enhanced "lobby view" now includes all actions taken on the SOP by date and the user name of the person taking the action to ensure all parties are up to date and to improve efficiencies.
- Subsidiary ownership auto-creation: Secretariat v8.4's latest auto-create ownership function allows corporate secretaries to easily create organization charts for subsidiary companies. By automating ownership processes the secretaries office can save time and avoid repetitive tasks while ensuring subsidiary information is accurate and up-to-date.
