Enhancements Provide Improved Workflow, Unmatched Scalability and Customizable Reporting in a Defensible, Streamlined Solution
HOUSTON, July 28, 2010 – Bridgeway Software, the leading provider of legal enterprise management solutions, which includes eDiscovery, matter management, litigation management, and corporate governance, today delivered version 3.0 of its industry-leading Legal Hold solution. The latest release from Bridgeway features enhanced workflow, customizable custodian response analysis, and unparalleled scalability and advanced reporting to offer legal departments even more control of the legal hold process. Bridgeway Legal Hold enables legal departments to efficiently comply with evidence preservation obligations, interviews and collections through centralized management with the goal of remaining compliant and avoiding costly sanctions. Legal Hold 3.0 can be deployed as a stand-alone solution or in conjunction with Bridgeway’s full eDiscovery offering, which integrates the entire eDiscovery process – preservation, collection, processing, review and production – into one seamless in-house solution.
Bridgeway Legal Hold 3.0 builds on the company’s comprehensive approach to legal hold by incorporating a fully customizable questionnaire module to allow for a new level of accountability. With the questionnaire module, the hold administrator can create a customized set of questions and responses per matter and per recipient response type. The questionnaire strategy helps legal departments determine if the recipient is a custodian, instead of simply allowing the recipient of the notice to make that determination in order to more fully put the control in the hands of the hold administrator.
Bridgeway Legal Hold 3.0 also provides advanced response analysis capabilities, which can filter the responses received based on the answer set. Depending upon how the questions are answered, the legal department can take immediate action and route the recipients to interviews or take them straight to collections. This advanced response analysis dramatically improves the efficiency of workflow processes and routes information to the appropriate stage in discovery faster.
“Our customers need solutions that can integrate seamlessly with their business while providing the detailed information and intelligence needed to stay on top of any possible litigation they may face,” said Rich Hall, vice president of eDiscovery Solutions at Bridgeway. “The enhancements in Legal Hold 3.0 deliver unmatched features and functionality at a price our customers can justify. With Legal Hold 3.0, in-house legal departments can just as easily manage 10,000 recipients as 10 recipients.”
Additional enhancements in Bridgeway Legal Hold 3.0 include:
- Expanded Reporting Catalog – Bridgeway has added new reports to its catalog to bolster the legal department’s ability to analyze the matter specific data as well as prove compliance with the legal hold. The reports can be narrowed down to specific legal hold requests or generated system wide.
- Manager Escalation – Notices can now be routed to the respective managers, based on configurable parameters, if the initial respondent is unable to respond in a timely manner.
- Simple and Intuitive Interviewer and Collector Workflow – The collector can now review the actual preservation notices that went to the custodian so that the collector knows what information/documentation the custodian is supposed to preserve.
- Enhanced Dashboard Functionality – The legal hold administrator has more options available in the centralized matter dashboard making the process of managing holds easier and more intuitive in Bridgeway’s Legal Hold 3.0.
Specifications and Availability
Bridgeway Legal Hold 3.0 integrates both the application and workflow of the preservation process with Bridgeway’s eCounsel® or LawManager® Matter Management solutions. Bridgeway to showcase eDiscovery solutions at LegalTech West Coast 2010 Trade Show
HOUSTON, June 22, 2010 - Bridgeway Software, the leading provider of legal enterprise management solutions, announced today that it will showcase its eDiscovery offerings as well as a new phased implementation strategy for in-house e-discovery at the 2010 LegalTech® West Coast Trade Show, June 23 - 24, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Bridgeway, already known for its leadership in end-to-end e-discovery solutions, will be highlighting its new in-house eDiscovery implementation strategy. This flexible approach of implementing e-discovery provides an answer to in-house legal groups seeking to reduce both cost and risk. By providing greater control over the information relevant to the case and the costs associated with attaining that information, the legal group gains better intelligence on the case overall, thereby reducing risk. This strategy allows in-house legal departments to deploy and scale their e-discovery solutions in a phased manner as their budget and bandwidth allows.
"Bridgeway's phased strategy to e-discovery enables Legal and IT departments to control their costs, manage their resources, and control their risk," said Keith Okano, President of Bridgeway Software. "By providing the right e-discovery solutions when and where in-house legal departments need them, we now give them tremendous flexibility in tackling their e-discovery needs."
- Flexible e-discovery solutions- Individually, Bridgeway's e-discovery applications each deliver high individual value for their particular phase of the e-discovery process. When implemented and integrated, they leverage each other to provide the power of an end-to-end solution to deliver the entire in-house e-discovery solution from one vendor.
- Scalable e-discovery solutions - Many organizations start with the Bridgeway Legal Hold Solution then add on Analysis and Processing as they scale up and hone their internal e-discovery processes. Review, Production and Presentation can be added on a hosted or on-site basis as needed.
-
Integrated e-discovery solutions - Bridgeway's eDiscovery Solution are designed as an integrated offering within Bridgeway's Legal Enterprise Management Solutions. An even greater level of control is possible through the leveraging information from Bridgeway's matter management, legal spend management, and corporate governance solutions.
Bridgeway will be available at booth #208 to meet with attendees during the two day event.

60-day Trial Allows Customers to Experience the Easy to Use and Easy to Deploy Legal Hold Solution from Bridgeway
HOUSTON, January 27, 2010 - Bridgeway Software, the leading provider of legal enterprise management, which includes eDiscovery, matter management, litigation management, and corporate governance solutions, announces the latest release of its industry-leading Legal Hold application and workflow product as well as a 60-day risk-free trial.
Bridgeway Legal Hold is a component of Bridgeway's end-to-end eDiscovery suite, the most complete in-house eDiscovery solution supporting preservation, collection, process, review and production. Bridgeway's unified approach to legal hold lets in-house legal departments stay in control of complying with "duty to preserve" obligations. Bridgeway Legal Hold 2.1 features enhancements that further reduce the time and effort required to meet any legal hold request and avoid sanctions or fines.
Today, corporations are facing an increased risk of sanctions if they do not have a consistent, auditable legal hold process. The failure to implement a litigation hold quickly and accurately, when an organization becomes aware of an impending legal event can constitute gross negligence leading to sanctions and possibly hefty fines. Recently, in the case of Acorn v. Co. of Nassau, the judge ruled that the haphazard litigation hold implemented by the defendants' counsel constituted negligence and awarded the costs of the motion and attorneys fees to the plaintiff. Bridgeway Legal Hold provides customers the functionality to properly manage and control the legal hold process, delivered in an easy to use and easy to deploy application.
"Bridgeway Legal Hold was designed from the start based on the experiences and best practices of experts in the legal profession. Our solution offers a straightforward user interface that enables customers to cost-effectively and easily manage all aspects of the legal hold process including preservation notices, interviews and collections," said Rich Hall, Vice President of eDiscovery Solutions at Bridgeway. "In today's litigious business environment, with the threat of court sanctions looming larger than ever, our customers need the functionality of Bridgeway Legal Hold 2.1 to help them respond quickly to any and all relevant hold requests."
Deployed as either a standalone application or part of Bridgeway's integrated eDiscovery solution, Bridgeway Legal Hold is a complete solution for custodian and case management, notification, acknowledgement, interviews and collection management. In order for customers to realize the benefits of streamlining the entire legal hold process, Bridgeway is offering a 60-day risk-free trial of its Legal Hold solution. Through this process, customers will experience firsthand the ease of use in working with Bridgeway's solution. For more details on the trial program, please visit: http://campaign.bridge-way.com/shuffle.
Specifications and Availability
Bridgeway Legal Hold integrates both the application and workflow of the preservation process with Bridgeway's eCounsel® or LawManager® Matter Management solutions. Users of Bridgeway's premier Matter Management solutions can launch legal holds, review legal hold status and view all matters with legal holds directly from the matter management system, providing them with complete legal enterprise management.

Legal Enterprise Management Leader Continues to Empower General Counsel and Government Customers to be In Control of the Litigation Process
HOUSTON, January 12, 2010 - Closing out its 20th anniversary year, Bridgeway Software, the leading provider of legal enterprise management solutions, which span eDiscovery, matter management, litigation management and corporate governance, continued to expand its unmatched legal enterprise solution portfolio and dramatically increased its overall client acquisition and satisfaction in 2009. This momentum contributes to the company's ongoing success selling its legal enterprise management solutions to over 400 corporate and government customers.
According to a recent report from Gartner, the 2010 eDiscovery market will increase by 23 percent, surpassing $1.2 billion. Sparked by the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) in 2006, the eDiscovery market has exploded in response to enterprise corporate counsel and law firm requirements to gain control over their electronically stored information (ESI). Having provided these organizations with legal enterprise management solutions for 20 years, Bridgeway Software emerged in 2009 as a formidable new force in delivering eDiscovery solutions that are seamlessly integrated with other crucial legal management processes, including matter management, litigation management and corporate governance. As a result, Bridgeway enters 2010 in a unique position to offer the industry's most comprehensive legal enterprise management solution that provides complete visibility and control over all critical legal processes.
In 2009 Bridgeway unveiled several enhanced product offerings for litigation support and celebrated several significant customer related milestones, including:
-
The introduction of the
eDiscovery Dashboard, an information portal that provides managers with real-time actionable information to track status and estimate the cost of electronic discovery activities. Through a single view, managers can determine how far along they are in each step of the electronic discovery process as well as estimate the current and total cost required for completion.
- Released latest versions of the Bridgeway Suite for Legal Enterprise Management providing expanded search functionality, improved document generation, refined filtering, enhanced performance and ease of use. The latest suite includes enhancements to eCounsel and Secretariat.
- Received highest net promoter rating by more than doubling the number of customers who say they would recommend Bridgeway's products.
- Implemented a free training program with more than 36 clients taking advantage of Bridgeway's generous program. The program was designed to reinforce the initial training that clients receive during implementation and affording new employees the opportunity to get up to speed more quickly.
- Launched successful Cash for Clunkers program offering customers up to $100,000 in discounts for trading in their current legal software in exchange for one of Bridgeway's solutions.
- Led popular panel session at the ACC Annual Conference in Boston. Bridgeway along with participants from Rockwell Automation, Chevron Phillips, NEC Corporation of America, and T-Mobile USA explored how budget cuts, workforce reductions and increased litigation make it more important than ever to leverage technology to help put in-house counsel in control.
- The debut of GLD - Getting Legal Done - the breakthrough productivity system for small in-house law departments of 1 to 5 lawyers, developed and marketed in partnership with the Association of Corporate Counsel, exclusively for its members.
"As legal departments look to do more with less, they must exploit technology to improve efficiency. Our customers are realizing the benefits of bringing this technology in-house using an integrated, comprehensive solution from a long term vendor that has an established track record of success and superior service," said Keith Okano, president of Bridgeway Software. "Bridgeway continues to grow due to our unwavering focus on evolving our product portfolio to match the growing litigation technology needs of our customers, which span a broad spectrum of industries, including energy, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, retail and government. In 2009 we invested heavily in expanding our offering and providing our customers with unparalleled support. These efforts position us strongly entering into 2010 as enterprises seek out eDiscovery solutions that go beyond best-of-breed to include integration with and visibility into all of their legal management processes."

Companies obtain their Net Promoter Score by asking customers a single question on a 0 to 10 rating scale: "How likely is it that you would recommend our company to a friend or colleague?" Based on their responses, customers can be categorized into one of three groups: Promoters (9-10 rating), Passives (7-8 rating), and Detractors (0-6 rating). The percentage of Detractors is then subtracted from the percentage of Promoters to obtain a Net Promoter score. A score of 75 percent or above is considered quite high.
Bridgeway offers the only fully integrated portfolio of products for the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to address their eDiscovery, matter management, litigation management and corporate governance needs and put them in control of their data during the litigation process. By providing clients with one vendor, one database and one reliable source of support, Bridgeway has become the preferred provider for many of the world's leading enterprises.
"I joined Anadarko in early 2008 and was pleased to learn that I would be working again with Bridgeway Software and its Secretariat product. I have found Bridgeway to be extremely helpful, very courteous and very knowledgeable," said Margaret Roark, Manager of Corporate Governance for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. "We recently completed a migration to Version 8, and thanks to their diligence and attention, it went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend Secretariat and the Bridgeway staff to anyone who is considering purchasing entity management software."
"Our customers rely on our solutions to gain control over their most strategic, proprietary and sensitive legal issues. Often the stakes involved are extremely high, and as such, they expect our software to perform at the highest levels and provide them with the confidence that everything is being handled expertly," said Keith Okano, president of Bridgeway Software. "The overwhelming response to our Net Promoter survey shows that we're meeting their expectations and validates our commitment to delivering legal enterprise management solutions with an emphasis on product excellence combined with client understanding and intimacy."
