Creates Flexible Migration from LawPack to eCounsel
HOUSTON – April 8, 2002 -- Bridgeway Software, Inc., the leading provider of automated corporate legal solutions, announced today its LawPack™ NextStep program, a comprehensive plan to assist corporate legal departments transition from LawPack™ to eCounsel™, Bridgeway’s total legal department practice management software. In December 2001, Hummingbird™ announced it is discontinuing LawPack, its case management system.

The LawPack™ NextStep program gives current LawPack™ users a seamless migration to eCounsel with three flexible options for legal department implementation. The first, Bridgeway’s “Basic Plan,” is the most economical option with the goal of creating an eCounsel equivalent to the current LawPack™ system. The second, the “Best Bang for the Buck Plan,” matches current work processes in LawPack™ to those in eCounsel, plus introduces selective improvements such as invoice approval workflow. The third, the “Full Customization Plan,” offers a comprehensive review of the legal department’s work processes with eCounsel custom programming, optimizing the current processes while incorporating all of the new features the legal group wants to add.
The NextStep Team supports all LawPack™ NextStep migrations to eCounsel. This group of experienced professionals includes the project leader, conversion designer, trainer, support dispatcher and development liaison. The project leader will ensure a partnership between the legal department and Bridgeway based on communication, so that Bridgeway understands and meets all of the legal department’s specific goals and expectations.
